We are seeking an experienced and business-focused Solution Architect – Finance to join an international technology environment. This role is based in the Netherlands, near Amsterdam.
In this key position, you will be responsible for designing and governing end-to-end finance solutions within a SAP-driven landscape, enabling efficient, compliant, and scalable financial operations across a multinational organization.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain solution architectures supporting financial processes across multiple SAP modules
Ensure seamless integration between SAP and non-SAP systems
Partner with finance, compliance, and IT stakeholders to translate business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions
Provide architectural oversight on SAP-related finance initiatives
Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and European regulatory requirements (including data protection and financial compliance)
Collaborate with integration teams to define secure and efficient data flows
Support finance transformation and digitalization initiatives, including SAP S/4HANA migration planning
Develop and maintain architecture documentation, roadmaps, and solution blueprints
The ideal candidate combines strong functional knowledge of SAP finance modules with the ability to guide architecture decisions in complex, international environments.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
7+ years of experience in IT, including at least 3 years in a solution architecture role focused on finance
Strong familiarity with SAP finance-related modules from a solution design or integration perspective
Experience working in multinational and regulated environments, with knowledge of European compliance standards (including GDPR)
Understanding of modern architecture principles such as API-led integration, hybrid cloud, and modular design
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams
Experience in international retail or finance environments
Exposure to SAP S/4HANA transformation programs
TOGAF certification
SAP certification (functional or architecture-related) is a plus
