I’m currently supporting a growing consultancy in their search for a Sustainability Consultant to help organisations turn their sustainability and ESG ambitions into practical, working solutions.
This is an interesting opportunity for someone who combines a strong background in sustainability/ESG consulting with an interest in data, processes and IT systems.
The role
You will work with sustainability teams, CFOs and finance teams to help organisations improve their sustainability management and ESG reporting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising clients on sustainability management and ESG reporting
- Translating sustainability requirements such as CSRD, ESRS, SBTi, double materiality and value-chain data into practical solutions
- Helping organisations improve the way sustainability data is collected, managed and reported
- Working alongside specialists on ESG and integrated reporting solutions
- Bridging the gap between sustainability requirements, business processes and IT systems
- Supporting clients from initial strategy through to the implementation of a practical, auditable solution
- Contributing to the continued development of the organisation's sustainability and ESG proposition
- Identifying opportunities with both existing and new clients
What we're looking for
- 5+ years' experience in sustainability management, ESG or business consultancy
- Strong knowledge of ESG legislation and reporting standards, particularly CSRD, ESRS and EU Taxonomy
- An interest in or understanding of IT systems, data and business processes
- The ability to turn complex sustainability challenges into clear, practical solutions
- A pragmatic and commercially minded approach to consulting
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
- Willingness to work at client sites across the Netherlands, with occasional travel within Northwest Europe
