I’m currently helping a growing consulting firm find a Sustainability Consultant to assist organizations in turning their sustainability and ESG goals into practical, effective solutions.
This is an interesting opportunity for someone who combines a strong background in sustainability/ESG consulting with an interest in data, processes, and IT systems.
The role
You will work with sustainability teams, CFOs, and finance teams to help organizations improve their sustainability management and ESG reporting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising clients on sustainability management and ESG reporting
- Translating sustainability requirements such as the CSRD, ESRS, SBTi, double materiality, and value chain data into practical solutions
- Helping organizations improve the way sustainability data is collected, managed, and reported
- Working alongside specialists in ESG and integrated reporting solutions
- Bridging the gap between sustainability requirements, business processes, and IT systems
- Supporting clients from the initial strategy phase through to the implementation of a practical, auditable solution
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the organization's sustainability and ESG strategy
- Identifying opportunities with both existing and new clients
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in sustainability management, ESG, or business consulting
- Strong knowledge of ESG legislation and reporting standards, particularly the CSRD, ESRS, and the EU Taxonomy
- An interest in or understanding of IT systems, data, and business processes
- The ability to transform complex sustainability challenges into clear, practical solutions
- A pragmatic and commercially oriented approach to consulting
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
- Willingness to work at client sites throughout the Netherlands, with occasional travel within Northwest Europe
