About the position

We are looking for an experiencedMaster Data Manager for our client. In this key role, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing all critical master data within the organization. You will ensure that data is reliable, complete, and consistent, and that it meets applicable governance and compliance requirements.

You will work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Product Management, and IT, and play a key role in supporting ERP processes, reporting, internal controls, and international improvement initiatives.

Your responsibilities

Master Data Governance & Data Quality

  • Develop, manage, and monitor the master data governance policy, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensuring the quality, consistency, and reliability of master data across all business units and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, authorizations, approval processes, and audit requirements.
  • Identifying and resolving data quality issues and initiating structural improvements.
  • Managing audit trails, change logs, and governance reports.
  • Performing analyses on duplicate records and making data corrections.
  • Verify that the data is complete and accurate before it is released.

Supplier Data

  • Creating, managing, modifying, and deactivating supplier information.
  • Managing address information, payment terms, tax information, bank details, and supplier classifications.
  • Coordinate changes to sensitive supplier information, such as bank account numbers.
  • Conducting periodic VAT validations and supplier reviews.
  • Manage supplier reports and support fraud prevention and supplier governance.

Customer Data

  • Managing customer master data throughout its entire lifecycle.
  • Maintaining invoice, delivery, payment, and tax information.
  • Verifying changes to delivery addresses and exception reports.
  • Validating VAT numbers and other tax information.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of inactive customers.
  • Monitoring price agreements, discounts, and commercial terms.

Product and Item Data

  • Managing the entire lifecycle of item and product data.
  • Maintaining product structures, SKUs, categories, specifications, and attributes.
  • Managing bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and other production-related master data.
  • Reviewing and approving new articles.
  • Ensuring consistent product information across ERP systems and commercial platforms.
  • Supporting product launches and lifecycle management.

Pricing and Commercial Data

  • Managing sales and purchase price lists.
  • Ensuring consistent pricing data across ERP and sales channels.
  • Performing periodic price updates.
  • Analyzing price variances and commercial data.
  • Provide support with cost and pricing structures for new products.

Inventory and Financial Data

  • Supporting inventory-related master data and reports.
  • Performing inventory adjustments and analyses.
  • Verifying financial institutions, such as general ledger links and posting groups.
  • Monitoring credit limits and financial exceptions.
  • Validating cost and valuation settings.

User and Authorization Management

  • Managing user accounts, authorizations, and role changes.
  • Maintaining user data in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Supporting periodic authorization reviews and compliance processes.
  • Ensure proper approval procedures for user management.

ERP & Business Transformation

  • Supporting ERP implementations, system migrations, and international rollout projects.
  • Developing and maintaining master data standards, templates, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Contribute to process design, system testing, user acceptance, and training.
  • Supporting the international harmonization of processes.
  • Implement automation and process improvements to enhance data quality and efficiency.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Preparing master data, governance, and exception reports.
  • Identifying and following up on operational deviations.
  • Organizing and facilitating periodic governance meetings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for master data-related issues.
  • Work closely with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Product Management, IT, and external partners.

What are you bringing?

  • HBO or WO level of work and thinking.
  • Demonstrable experience in Master Data Management, Data Governance, or ERP environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a strong plus.
  • Strong knowledge of business processes in Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Sales.
  • Strong analytical skills, meticulous, and process-oriented.
  • Experience with internal controls, compliance, and governance.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage stakeholders at various levels.
  • A proactive attitude and a constant focus on process improvement.
