Interim ERP Business Analyst

Job ID: 319
Description
"Your primary responsibility is to drive the definition of harmonized global business processes across multiple countries and business environments. You will challenge existing local practices, commercial arrangements, and historical exceptions; distinguish genuine local requirements from legacy complexity; and translate these into clear, scalable target processes that can be supported by the global Nexus application landscape. This requires a senior and independent Business Analyst who is comfortable engaging with experienced local stakeholders, asking difficult questions, and driving decision-making rather than simply documenting the current situation."

Experience
Knowledge of ERP and end-to-end process thinking is essential. Prior experience in handling challenging conversations with business process owners and leadership is essential. Handling objections and filtering information is a daily requirement. A strong analytical foundation, excellent communication skills, and a results-driven, practical approach.

Character
Comfortable using the 5 Whys to gain a deep understanding of contracts, agreements, and workflows. Able to understand “variations” and distinguish between a global standard (fit), justified variation, an opportunity for harmonization (a chance to align with the global standard), and a dimension of harmonization (customer type, contract type, or order channel).

A typical puzzle to analyze and solve
  • The global semen trade is currently being analyzed to identify similarities and, in cases where differences exist, to determine whether these are due to historical developments, market conditions, or legal requirements.
  • A comprehensive assessment of business models (in-house production farms, outsourced production farms, differences between contractual and SLA arrangements, etc.)
  • Review of various applications in use worldwide and points of integration between applications, as well as between humans and applications
  • The role of current tools (for farm production output) and the potential for changes in functionality due to D365 and the potential availability of a global customer portal
  • A target operating model and solution design for the global semen business, including opportunities for harmonization, justified local variations, system roles, integration requirements, and feasible solution alternatives.

Duration/Load
We expect this to be a 5- to 6-month assignment. It can be part-time or full-time, but it requires focus and results.
