Job Description
As an IT Manager, you will play a broad role in the further development and professionalization of IT and digitalization within the organization. Together with internal colleagues and external partners, you will ensure that systems, applications, infrastructure, data, and processes are well aligned with the organization’s needs.
The role combines IT coordination, information management, and digitization, and explicitly offers opportunities for further growth in these areas. You’ll contribute ideas to the IT and digitization roadmap, while also taking a pragmatic and hands-on approach to implementation.
You will work closely with senior management and various departments, including Engineering, Production, Finance, Purchasing & Logistics, and Sales. You will translate their needs into concrete IT solutions, improvement projects, and priorities.
You will coordinate day-to-day IT operations, collaborate with the internal IT team, and manage external IT and software vendors.
Key Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Digital Transformation
You will contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's IT and digital transformation roadmap and help translate the business strategy into concrete IT initiatives and projects.
You identify opportunities to further digitize and automate processes and collaborate with the executive board and management on systems, technology, and investments.
In doing so, you’ll ensure a future-proof application and IT landscape that grows alongside the organization.
Business Applications & Integrations
You will play a key role in the continued development and integration of the organization’s business-critical applications, including:
You ensure that systems integrate seamlessly and that information can be exchanged efficiently between Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, Finance, and other departments.
You don't have to be an expert on every system yourself. Above all, you're the one who brings together the business, IT, and vendors and ensures that solutions are actually implemented.
IT Projects & Process Improvement
You will initiate and oversee IT and digital transformation projects, such as new software implementations, upgrades, integrations, and process improvements.
You will identify business needs, define requirements and priorities, and oversee projects from selection and design through implementation and deployment.
In doing so, you’ll focus on user acceptance, training, documentation, and change management.
Data & Information Management
Together with the organization, you ensure that information is reliable, secure, and accessible.
You will work to improve data quality, master data, document management, and reporting, and ensure that it is clear where data responsibilities lie within the organization.
In addition, you will promote the use of data and BI to enable better operational and strategic decision-making.
IT Operations, Security & Business Continuity
Together with the internal IT team and external partners, you will be responsible for ensuring a reliable, secure, and well-functioning IT environment.
Together with the internal IT team and external partners, you will be responsible for:
You don't have to solve every technical problem yourself, but you have enough basic technical knowledge to understand problems, set priorities, and bring in the right internal or external specialists.
Team & Supplier Management
You will coordinate the internal IT team and help establish clear responsibilities and priorities. As you grow into the role, your managerial responsibilities may also increase.
In addition, you will coordinate collaboration with external IT partners and software vendors. You will monitor agreements, quality, and progress, and will be involved in contracts, licenses, and IT budgets.
Profile
For this position, we are looking for an ambitious professional who has gained broad experience in IT, application management, information management, or digitization during the early years of his or her career and is ready to take the next step toward greater responsibility. We are specifically looking for someone with growth potential who wants to continue developing within the organization and can increasingly make the role their own.
Ideally, you have:
Knowledge of Infor LN, Dassault 3DX, CAD/CAM, AFAS, Microsoft 365, Azure/AWS, or similar solutions is a plus, but certainly not a requirement. More important are a broad interest in IT, curiosity, and the ability to quickly master new systems and processes.
Personality
The ideal candidate is someone who can maintain an overview, is eager to take on responsibility, and is also willing to roll up their sleeves and get to work.
You have strong analytical skills and can translate IT and process challenges into practical solutions. You communicate easily with executives and management, as well as with engineers, users, and technical specialists.
You are proactive, results-oriented, and pragmatic. You don’t wait for problems to resolve themselves; instead, you take ownership and ensure that projects and improvements are actually carried out.
You have the ambition to continue developing yourself and, together with the organization, to further professionalize IT and digitalization in the coming years.
What makes this position interesting?
The organization operates in a technical and project-driven environment in which various disciplines and business processes work closely together. As a result, IT plays an increasingly important role in supporting and further professionalizing the organization.
As an IT Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to help shape both the day-to-day IT operations and the organization’s ongoing digital development. You’ll work closely with the business and senior management, have plenty of freedom to implement improvements, and—with a proven track record—can advance in both responsibility and compensation.
Employment
For this combined and growth-oriented position, the gross monthly salary is up to €5,500, depending on experience and background. With proven results and continued growth in the role, there is room for advancement in both responsibility and salary.
