Source-to-Pay Consultant (S2P)

As a Functional Source-to-Pay (S2P) Consultant, you’ll help organizations optimize and digitize their entire Source-to-Pay process. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their business processes and challenges, translate these into functional solutions, and oversee implementations from start to finish.

You serve as a sounding board for the client, facilitate workshops, analyze business processes, develop functional designs, and ensure that solutions are optimally aligned with the organization’s needs. Although the focus of this role is functional, you’ll work closely with technical consultants to successfully implement integrations with ERP and other business systems.

Key Responsibilities

Functional Consulting

• Advising clients on procurement transformation and best practices within Source-to-Pay (S2P) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P).

• Facilitating workshops to identify business processes, needs, and requirements.

• Analyzing existing processes and translating business requirements into functional designs and solutions.

• Identify process improvements that contribute to greater efficiency, compliance, automation, and user adoption.

• Preparing clear documentation, including process descriptions, functional designs, user stories, and configuration documentation.

• Serve as the functional point of contact during implementation and optimization projects.

• Work closely with project managers, consultants, and clients to successfully deliver projects.

Solution Design & Implementation

• Configuring and optimizing Source-to-Pay solutions in areas such as:

  • Strategic Sourcing

  • Supplier Management

  • Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)

  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

  • Approval Workflows

  • Spending Management and Reporting

• Conducting and supervising functional testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Conducting training sessions and supporting end users in the adoption of new processes and systems.

• Identifying opportunities to further improve and digitize procurement processes.

• Stay up to date on developments in procurement, digitization, and Source-to-Pay solutions.

Collaboration & Integrations

• Collaborate with technical consultants to successfully implement integrations with ERP, finance, and other business systems.

• Provide support for data migrations, validations, and testing activities from a functional perspective.

• Contribute to solving functional issues and provide support for optimizations after the system goes live.

• Provide input for integration designs and functional improvements.

Desired Knowledge and Experience

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Functional Consultant, Business Consultant, or Procurement Consultant in Source-to-Pay (S2P), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), or procurement transformation.

• Experience facilitating workshops, requirements gathering, process analysis, business application configuration, and testing processes.

• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, including:

  • Source-to-Contract (S2C)

  • Strategic Sourcing

  • Supplier Management

  • Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)

  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P)

  • Invoice-to-Pay

  • Category Management

• Experience with one or more Source-to-Pay platforms is a plus (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer, Oracle Procurement, GEP, Zycus, or similar solutions), but is not required.

• Basic knowledge of system integrations, APIs, and enterprise applications is a plus.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business processes into practical solutions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

• Experience in a customer-focused or consulting environment.
